Lazzaro and Marina invited us the the first annual World Salsa Festival in Rome.  This was surprisingly bigger than we imagined it to be.  The dance club facility, called "Meeting Latino", which they own, was the length of a football field and over 3000 enthusiastic salsa fans participated.

They invited professional dancers form Puerto Rico, New York, Los Angeles and other provinces in Italy.

We all taught workshops and performed on the huge lit stage.

On the final evening of the event, we ran into two young ladies who moved from L.A. to Milan Italy, last year, to pursue their dance careers.  Sandy from Salsa Brava and Alira from Salsabor Y Cache. 

I was so happy to see them and they looked so thrilled with their new lives in Italy.  They loved the people, the students, the work and the training in all the dance forms.  Best of luck to you two!
