IF YOU ARE AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL SALSA DANCER ...
(i.e. you know the basics and you have been dancing for a while, but want to learn more turns and variations), DANCE HOT SALSA DVD 1 (LEVELS l&ll), may still be the best video to start with because it goes through all the cross body leads (9 different variations), rope spins, windmills, man-wraps, lady's turns and man's pivot turns.
It is a very good idea to start with VIDEO 1 before jumping into VIDEO 2, especially if you do not live in Los Angeles and are unfamiliar with LA style salsa.
DANCE HOT SALSA DVD 2
(Salsa levels lll& lV) 45 minutes in length
9 variations in level 3 and 13 variations in level 4
This video starts with level 3 which is called "Rotating the Dance"
where the man learns to move as he's leading the lady. Level 4
shows more advanced turns and partner moves, dips, and solo steps.
IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT LEVEL DANCER YOU ARE...

Getting the complete set DANCE HOT SALSA VIDEO 1 (LEVELS l&ll) AND DANCE HOT SALSA VIDEO 2 (LEVELS lll & lV) offers Josie Neglia's complete Salsa course from Level 1 through 4. All together, 47 steps/variations including partnering, dips, and footwork/shines. Each of the 4 levels starts with a combination or routine that encompasses all the steps/variations to be covered in that level.
SALSA & MERENGUE 1-2-3 (DVD 3) is great for the intermediate dancer that has a good idea of the steps but needs help in putting them together into danceable patterns or routines. MEN find this video especially helpful. This video offers 8 salsa Combinations or routines that link 5-8 steps together from level 1 to level 4. It also offers 11 Merengue steps/patterns at the end of the video as an added bonus.
LADIES looking for technique on how to dance more feminine and how to turn with more control would love the LATIN STYLE & TECHNIQUE FOR LADIES VIDEO 5. This video runs through the body alignment, posture, arm and hand styling, turning techniques for 2-foot-spins and some solo/footwork patterns. For more advanced shines, the ADVANCED SALSA VARIATIONS VIDEO 6 has advanced solo footwork for ladies and men.
IF YOU ARE AN ADVANCED DANCER...
DVD 6: Advanced Salsa Variations: this is a very popular video in that it has over 8 combinations of ladies' shines (solo moves), 9 combinations of men's shines (solo moves), advanced turns (some are choreographed), dips and drops, and lifts and flips. Again this video is more for the competing and performance couples who want to do "crowd pleasing" tricks. However this is the only video that has advanced shines for both men and ladies. This video goes through each pattern slowly enough to pick up on the leading and following tips and timing skills, but has many tricks, advanced footwork, turns, dips, drops, lifts and flips to excite the adavanced salsa dancers. This is a must for the competitive show dancers. Retail price $34.95
DVD 8: Advanced Salsa Combinations: all advanced partnering moves with double and triple turns for men and ladies, quick changes of direction, hand tosses/throws which are the latest craze, and all are "leadable" as opposed to choreographed in that once they are learned and led correctly, the man can lead any lady without previous knowledge of that combination. Retail price $29.95 (Special price Video 8&9 for $49.95)
DVD 9: Advanced Salsa Combinations and Tricks: has 5 more advanced partnering combinations but also has 11 tricks or show moves (which are choreographed acrobatic or power moves that require practice outside of the club before performing them). Many couples purchase this video for the show moves because they want to perform or compete and want some "crowd pleasing" moves. Retail price $29.95 (Special price Video 8&9 for $49.95)
CHA CHA DVDS:
Whether you are a beginner or advanced Latin dancer, this NIGHT CLUB CHA CHA DVD 4 is great! It has over 20 Cha Cha variations, from level 1 to level 4, that are fun and flashy enough to make you stand out on the dance floor. It starts with the basic Cha Cha patterns and moves onto rotational, turning moves that are fun for the night club and flashy enough for the competitive dancers.
Produced by Josie Neglia and the late Latin mega-star Peta Siddall, this video is a must for your instructional dance video collection.
