Alvaro and I had such an incredible time teaching
the wonderful energetic and eager learners that participated. We
performed Friday night and had the greatest time watching and
dancing with many of the salsa participants.
Josie & Marlon Castillo
This was the Fourth European Salsa Dance Festival
in Holland held at Hotel Haarlem Zuid. This year Annetje and
Marlon Castillo worked together with Albert Torres to create the
best year ever.
Marlon & Annetje
The event was completely sold out and participants were limited to
the the workshops they could take due to the overwhelming numbers.
Next year they will make it bigger and better.

The performances were amazing and the amateur
contests were so entertaining. I was overwhelmed with the
creativity of the group competitors. The "Thriller" theme salsa was
so special for me, it brought tears to my eyes. I was emotional
with the level of dedication and passion the salsa dancers have.
Francisco Vasquez was a great entertainer all
weekend- (as usual). His crazy and hilarious antics were enjoyed by
all the participants. I was called to fill in for a while on his
little salsa demonstration Friday night, at it was a blast. I don't
get a chance to dance with Francisco much these days, since our
schedules are so busy, so it was fun for us to get together for that
short but sweet dance.
Sunday night, a few of the die-hard dancers that
were remaining in town decided to go to a local salsa venue in
Amsterdam called "Cafe Meander". Amateurs and Pros from Puerto Rico
(Felipe Polanco), England (Super Mario), Toronto (Giovanni), Miami
(Salsa Lovers), Los Angeles (Seaon, Alvaro and myself) and many more
were all winding down with an evening of relaxed and fun social
dancing.
I had the pleasure of dancing with all the pros
that night and loved being led into all the intricacies of the
different styles.
