MY TESTIMONIAL
LatinDance.com,
Hi, there, yesterday
Jul 20,04 I receive the DVD video on Advanced Salsa. Me and my
wife started practicing those cool moves to add to what we already
know from years of dancing salsa. Thank you, your video is GREAT.
Regards, Luis Santiago

Dear Josie:
Me and my wife are totally ecstatic about your videos - the best
value our money ever bought. Even if we don't ever go all
the way (meaning the most advance stuff which is way beyond us -
wife definitely refuses flips) everything else is just great.
We went pretty much thru 2 tapes so far but watched them all and
totally anxious to learn as much as we can handle.
Again thank you very much and best wishes,
Mike & Lucy W. 2/12/03
Dear Josie,
I have purchased some of your tapes, I must tell you, yours are
really helpful for someone like me as a beginner. I also bought
many other's instructional tapes, definitely none of them can
compare with yours. Both footwork and posture are so clear and
beautiful, specially the technique for ladies one, I never can
imaging the ladies can dance so sexxxxxy.
I have finished the vol.1 , now I
am waiting for your vol.2 to learn more.
Regards,
Michael Lewis from Taiwan

Thanks Josie,
I'm very pleased with the Advance Salsa Videos that I purchased a few months ago. They were extremely detailed oriented, with excellent
explanations on
timing, lead, follow, footwork and posture. As an aspiring dance instructor
(C.D.T.A), I use your videos quite regularly, in Salsa Classes.
Sincerely,
Michael Castillo - Ontario, Canada 11/27/02
I received the "Latin style & technique for ladies", today, gee that was
fast. I have never received such prompt service in any transaction through the
mail before. The videos are great! I love it ! only wish I were there so I
could sign-up for a Latin dance class.
Thank you again,

Hi Josie!
This is a message from Josette (a.k.a. Josie also). I met you and your lovely
family at the Congress outside of the Ballrooms in the vendor area at the
Hilton. I bought your Sexy Salsa Wear. Josie, you bring magic to peoples
lives. When I attended your workshop it was too crowded and my partner left so
I watched (there weren't enough guys). And now I want to attend any future
workshops that you may have in the southern California area. You teach with a
magic touch. Women admire you because you teach us to admire ourselves. I wore
your Sexy Salsa Wear at the casino finale night. I got so much attention that
I felt like a celebrity. You talked me into buying the white set and I'm glad
I listened finally. This is how I presented your Sexy Salsa Wear... I layered
the black and white. I lined the black top with the white top. I made a
perfect square knot at the bust and tucked in the ties. And let the white peek
out from underneath the black at the neckline and ruffles. Then I lined the
black skirt with the white skirt. I tucked in the ties. And pulled the white
skirt waist out over the black and rolled it slightly. When I walked and
danced the white showed underneath where my legs are. Accessories... Black
& White wing tipped T- strap 2 1/2" heels, and extra fine mesh black
hose with the seam up the back. Silver, marquisite and onyx tear drop
earrings. I couldn't believe the attention I received. Many women told me they
loved my outfit. I told them it's Josie Neglia's Sexy Salsa Wear. Many women
also snubbed me. I liked that too. Best of all, the men were CRAZY!!! And I
felt great dancing with a new attitude. I was asked to dance by the very best
Salseros. I'm working on styling. And with Sexy Salsa Wear, styling comes
natural. Also with the help of your Ladies Styling video, which I also
appreciate. What a magical night it was for me! Your Sexy Salsa Wear and video
put me in touch with my femininity, posture and style in my dancing. It made
me want to dance extra beautifully, to walk around, to show off and socialize.
It's comfortable. I even sat on the floor with the crowd in front of the big
screen and ate empanadas while watching the performances. And I still looked
sexy and classy. :-) I saw the documentary "Princess of Salsa". It
was very touching and inspirational. It should really be promoted by HBO.
Don't be surprised if they rename it "Follow Your Dreams". A Spanish
subtitled version should go to the Congress in Puerto Rico. I was happy to see
Louie in the film. He is also a fantastic instructor and person. Thank you
Josie for the magic you give to us. And congratulations on all of your
achievements. All the best to you and your lovely family. We all love you. And
Salsa needs you.
Love, Josette, June 1, 2002
Josie,
I
have been taking lessons for a few years and I have bought many tapes.
Your
tapes are by far the best. I just thought you should know.
I believe
that your videos are best because you break down each move piece by piece. I
have found that if you are going to learn a certain step you first need to
slow down and look at the step piece by piece. This is exactly the way we do
it in a private lesson. Another important factor is the ability to rewind the
tape and go over it again. Repetition is the key. I have found that many
dance instructors have big egos. They show you a move and expect you to
understand it right away. I have a limited budget so I can only afford so
many private lessons. You only charge me once and the prices are very
competitive with other videos. I have four of your videos now and I am sure I
will purchase from you in the future.
Thanks,
Patrick Dunn

My wife and I had been searching for a while for some salsa videos to assist us
in our dancing. We found Josie's website and decided to try her dance class at
Pasion. I cannot put into words how impressed I was with the dance lessons. She
is truly a professional and really enjoys teaching. She knows salsa mens' and
ladies' steps inside out and can spot and correct mistakes immediately. After
taking several classes, we purchased a couple of her videos. After viewing them,
they were so good that we purchased all of them. I highly recommend these videos
for every level dancer.

To Josie,
Thank you so much for the joy you brought to my life. The Latin Video cassettes
(Salsa) are a masterpiece of artistic skills, filled with grace and beauty. They
are also a stunning performance in the art of teaching Latin rhythms. You
are truly the best.
I attended, for the past years, many so-called Salsa schools and did not perform
well on the dance floor. They cannot in any way compare with your most
professional teachings. No doubt about it. They lack something that ONLY you
have: TALENT AND CHARM.
The patterns exhibited in your courses with your partner are a magnificent blend
of beauty, charm and "excitement". The patterns are explicitly
demonstrated in a way that anyone (even a baby) can learn fast and progress with
style.
The most exciting of all is Video # 3 (Salsa & Merengue), which shows superb
combinations. This is anyone's passport to dance Salsa as it should
be. In this sense, may I say that you have reached the summit in the art
of dancing. After practicing the teachings on volumes 1,2,3 &4 (Videos
l&ll), this one (Video #3) is a MUST.
Once I master all the combinations, I will have the confidence that I need to
get without hesitation, on the dance floor, and dance the way you both do.
May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family and your dance partners
the BEST, most healthy, successful happy new year!
Adios, profesora amable y excelente!

Dear Josie:
I'm very pleased with the quality of the video. Your dancing style is fun
and easy to follow even though this is the first time I take any type of dancing
instructions. Seen your beauty and finesse makes watching and following
this video an enjoyment. Congratulations for such a production. I
will definitely recommend this video to anyone interested on learning how to
dance Spanish music.

Hi! My name is Jerry. I dated a Latin woman in
San Diego who could dance Salsa, but wouldn't teach me. She told me to take
lessons. This really hurt.
Okay, ...so I had two left feet and I couldn't feel or hear the Salsa rhythm.
What difference does that make? I was willing to learn.
She said, "No way Pal". "You're taking lessons". Okay, I
decided that if I was stuck paying for lessons, I was going to get every dime
worth out of it. I was determine to make my partner beg me to dance with her.
Not after the first week of course, but eventually!
At first, I bought Merengue CD's because I thought they were Salsa CDs. After
all, they were in the Salsa section of the store. I
just grabbed a few CDs and went home. Man, ...quick, quick, slow doesn't work
with Merengue very well.
Anyway, I took lessons and more lessons. I asked everyone to dance with me who
had no prior experience with me. This way, I wouldn't get turn down on the first
request to dance. One lady use the excuse that someone was trying to beep her on
her pager so it was necessary to stop dancing and make a call. RIGHT!
I might be slow, but I'm not that slow! So now, I'm buying video tapes (thank
you Josie Neglia) and I'm rehearsing by my self.
Two years later and I'm a level 4 dancer. I feel the wonderful Latin rhythm and
the passion of the music. Even now, I'm learning new moves, meeting new friends
and having the time of my life.
Salsa is awesome and we like it hot in Detroit, Michigan.
Josie:
Van (my husband) had several of your instructional videos before we met and shared them with me when we married. And to some degree, to your credit, we fell in love latin dancing!
Thanks again and keep up the great work!

To LatinDance.com,
I thought you might like
some feedback on the video's I received yesterday. I
watched most of two of the videos by Josie Neglia, and they are fantastic.
She is a great dance teacher. They are the best instructional dance videos I've
ever seen. And by the way, do you recall our discussion of whether Salsa breaks
on the 1 or the 2 beat. The way Josie Neglia does it, it breaks on the 1, so
it's just what I was looking for. I'm very glad that I ordered her videos.
On the other side of the coin, I
watched about fifteen minutes of the Eddie Torres video, and he spent the entire
fifteen minutes trying to teach Salsa breaking on the 2 beat. I guess it's best
for me to avoid anything put out by anyone who is known for Mambo if I want to
learn Salsa the way they do it here in California. After fifteen minutes Eddie's
video had still not gotten past the basic step. I would very much like to return
the two Eddie Torres videos in exchange for anything by Josie Neglia, or even
just for store credit that I can use if and when she puts out another
video. Who
knows, maybe she'll put out a Rumba, Bolero, Samba, or Tango video. Right now
I'd buy anything she puts out I'm so impressed by the two I've viewed thus far.
Best Regards, Steve
San Jose, CA
Josie,
Just talked to you on the phone when calling to order the videos and promised to
post the reasons why I bought YOUR videos over the others I've seen on the web.
Here goes:
1) Loved the colors of the page and cover of the videos very exciting.
2) Loved the way you broke down all the moves that are on each video. Made me
think you put a lot of thought into what should be on your videos.
3) Looks like the first 2 videos are virtually an encyclopedia of basic moves
that I could also lend to a friend / potential partner.
4) I NEED the Ladies styling tape for my dance partner since she doesn't like my
teachers (He's a guy) moves for the woman. This looks like a great new vantage
point for her.
Last, but, not least, you look like you enjoy the hell out of what you're doing
and that will make everything better and more fun.
Thanks for everything and perhaps I'll see you on the cruise. That's a lot of
salsero's !!!
Terry Gillespie
Josie, I recently bought your three
video set and have been telling my friends about them! They are great ! .. I was
pleasantly pleased to see both 'shine' or open work and some advanced materials not
normally offered on dance videos.
I will certainly enjoy them in '99 as I pick apart which combinations I want to learn
first.
The trick for me is to watch them several times , try to relate
them to material I already know, and above all be PATIENT! Your three for 1 deal can't
be beat, it's simply the BEST deal I have seen yet after combing the Salsa pages. Thank
you ! Muchas gracias !

To Everybody:
I am an incurable Salsa addict. At my latest prolonged visit to L.A., however, after
checking out all major clubs I went Cold Turkey on dancing. The local style of
Salsa there simply did not sit with me very well
that is until I saw Josie one
Saturday night at the Mayan.
Wearing all white she looked like an angel to me. And what was even more heavenly, she
DANCED like one. Like many other male onlookers mesmerized by her silky movements, I
caught myself daydreaming of ME being her dance partner. Resistance was useless. I had to
take her dance lessons.
Althugh already familiar with her great Dance Hot Salsa teaching tapes, only
at her dance classes everything started to make sense to me. Josies commanding
professionalism combined with infectious spontaneity and unbridled passion for dance has
turned me into L.A. style convert. Her instructions were clear and astute, advice and tips
invaluable, steps and moves practical and challenging. Yet, her charm and wit made it all
look and feel so easy.
Josie, thank you for opening doors to the new possibilities for me. They call you Princess
of Salsa only because you are still too young to be crowned as a Queen.
Forever thankful,
Damir Coklin

Ok people, if youre looking for
a really good instructional salsa video, this is it!!! Just prior to the Thanksgiving
holiday I was on the hunt for an all around GOOD video to teach the basics of salsa as
well as more advanced moves. I started dancing salsa about two years ago but was curious
about what I could learn from a video. I looked around to see what my options were only to
find that there is not a lot out there. Finally I e-mailed Edie at www.salsaweb.com (alias "The Salsa Freak")
who led me to Josie Neglia who offers a set of three salsa videos entitled Dance Hot
Salsa. Since I was looking purely for salsa, I purchased the first two which contain
four levels ranging from basic to advanced. The third video is a combination of salsa and
merengue. Each level takes you through a variety of steps, all of which advance in a
progression.
What I really enjoyed were not only the moves, but the way they were laid out. Each move
is broken down step by step walking the man through his lead, and then repeated with the
instruction for the woman and how she is to follow. The focus moves from the man to the
woman without the music first, and then puts it all together in real time with the music
to show how it all connects. Not only is it easy to follow, but it doesnt rush you
and repeats each move several times back to back. Each tape also comes with a card that
numbers and labels each move for easy reference. If youre a beginner I highly
recommend these videos, but even if youre "Rico Suave" out on the dance
floor, you really cant go wrong here. You can check out more about Josie and her
videos at:
http://www.latindance.com or give her a call at (562) 491-1009 for more information.
And of course Josie: I dont know you but youre a lovely woman, very pleasant
to talk to on the phone, I thank you again, and wish you all the success in the world.

Que Pasa Josie I just received the videos I ordered
and I was amazed how fast they where shipped to me. I ordered them on Wednesday and
received them on Saturday. The videos are very very good I like the way you broke each
movement down for the man and woman. I am completely a salsa-holic now. I just
started learning salsa in august 98 I been going out 3 times a week to salsa clubs and
taking lessons 3 days a week and with your videos my progress has sky rocketed!! I
missed your workshop in Chicago. When is the next time you r going to be in Chicago?
Keep up the good work, also I might be coming to L.A in February.
Dear Josie, I am very happy with the class that I've
taken, I have taken classes with different instructors and definitely find yours to be at
the top of the list, and here is why:
Some instructors are excellent breaking the steps and patterns, but they go tooo slow.
Some are excellent with the rhythm and style, but he only teaches footwork and almost no
patterns at all. There is another one who seems to know a lot and has a good background
but, she doesn't make the class interesting and as a result you don't really learn. With
some of them they don't give time at the end of the class to practice. And that it's very
important because that's the best time to rehearse not only what you just learn, but any
other moves you want to synchronize. And what I consider the most important thing is (in
my humble opinion) is to have your instructor coaching you- really helping you to dance
and correcting you personally.
After reviewing your class, I can say, that you have all these good features - everything
in one class! Excellent!!
And besides all of that...I love watching you, giving your class!
Thank you,
Jesus
Dear Ms. Neglia; I just want
to thank you for being an inspiration. I have watched your videos, and I have learned a
lot from them. I appreciate your teaching style, and I am impressed with how easily I am
able to learn the combinations taught in your video. This is due of course to your
teaching method.
My mother has been dancing mambo/salsa for the past 25 years. I never, ever, ever liked
the stuff throughout my childhood, and I didn't see the light until I was about 17 years
old. Ironically, I lived in Long Beach, CA for 15 years, right there on Atlantic Avenue,
and I never realized I was right in the middle of the Salsa action until it was too late.
I had graduated high school and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to attend the university.
It was at this lonely time in my life that I discovered what a wonderful thing Salsa was.
I started going to the only Latin club in North Carolina, with who but my own mother!! I
used to joke with my Mom that Salsa was "hell", but let me tell you, I love this
inferno. You must be wondering why I am telling you this. Well, I just wanted to let you
know how much I am in agreement with you. Salsa is truly a moving experience, it opens up
doors of opportunity, and helps to pry open closed minds.
Please keep up your great work and instruction. I'll keep watching your videos before I
hit the nightclubs! I wish you the best in your personal and professional life. Take
Care!!
P.S. My Mom went to the Congreso de Salsa in 1997. She saw you perform, and she was so
completely in awe that she had no words for it. She said she had to pick her jaw up off
the floor because of your performance. I hope one day I can make jaws drop too!!
Sincerely,

Dear Josie, I've been watching you and Rogelio dance
for the last couple of years. It is still one of my favorite salsa things to do. I have
taken several group lessons from you and you have taught me a lot. I have seen other women
dance salsa and I know that they are using some of your signature moves. My friends and I
(Amy, Alice, Barrington, Nataly) all agree that you have the best spins in the business.
One of these days I'll have the courage to ask you to dance on a Friday that you're there.
I'm the one of the Latino guys who is there every other weekend. I wear black rimmed
glasses and hang out in the same area that Rogelio does. Anyway, just thought I'd let you
know that I think you're the best salsera, period. your pal, Ruben

quick delivery to Europe. As a Norwegian dance enthusiast (and a geophysicist - for the

I LOVED my videos! The quality, style, and most
importantly, the didactic is excellent. It is very uplifting to see someone taking salsa
teaching in such a professional manner. These tapes will definitely create its own niche
in the world of Latin dancing for they cleanly contribute to the survival of such a
beautiful form of human communication. Thank you & CONGRATULATIONS ! ! ! ! !

I want to thank Josie for her tape realized with
Pedro Otero. I learned salsa in NY city, practiced in Colombia ( Cali), Santo Domingo. I
know a lot of mambo and salsa videotapes and let me say that this one is a complete
success. You will learn useful steps for nightclub , not that ballroom dance impossible to
practice in very small space like present day discos, but very nice, easy to learn moves
that will make a world of difference between you and the other dancers. One has to add
that Josie is a beautiful woman and a skillful dancer, -without forgetting the sexy Pedro!

Thanks for replying to me. Fortunately, I could find
your video set in the store. So I bought them right away. This video is wonderful!! I've
been waiting the video like this. It's very well explained, easy to understand the
variation and step work!! This is gonna be my bible. There is going to be the Salsa dance
contest in Osaka JAPAN next month. I hope I can win by learning this video. Thank you very
much for making this video. Best Regards-Takahiro Ozaki

Josie, it makes a big difference now that I got
specific moves to practice, before I was just going out there not knowing what I was doing
on the dance floor. Now I got something to look forward too and little by little getting
better. Also the videos served as a great follow-up to keep practicing, specially since
I'm from out of state and won't get to get private lessons that often. This is definitely
a must for anybody that is serious about getting good at Salsa. It will definitely add
style and "cache" (finesse) to anybody's style. You have a great personality and
a lot of patience. As a professional you out to be very proud of what youve got. In
my view you have the full package that includes personality, skills (lots of it), and most
importantly ability to teach (not to mention looks!). As you know the fact that you can
dance does not mean you can teach it. I feel very lucky that I chose you to be my Salsa
instructor. You can definitely count on me referring people to you for videos &
instructions. Thank you again.

Josie, Your video was fantastic! It was just what I
needed, with lots of great moves and easy to follow instruction! It's a great visual

I have no doubts that Josies recently released
"Hot Salsa Videos," will soon be a best seller. The dance instruction on the
videos is presented in easy to follow format. I especially like the way each movement is
broken down to its' basic component: making it very easy to pick the steps. It's the next
best thing to private instruction.
Anthony White, Emeryville, Ca USA - Thursday, February 06, 1997 at 18:10:53 (EST)
I've just received your salsa videos. They are
outstanding!! You teach very well and you look very very nice. Please let me know if there
will be more videos on salsa. Thank you so much.

This is Rob (President of Sheffield Uni Salsa Club)
writing from the UK. I received your videos (1&2) about a month ago and have been
going through them with a few other Salseros. You had asked me to give you some feedback
regarding the tapes and I am delighted to do so.
First of all, I think these are the best Salsa training videos I have ever seen. I respect
Eddie Torres a lot and I've been to a workshop of his here in the UK. However, I feel your
videos surpass his several fold.
I liked your videos for many reasons, eg. presentation, clarity, and variety. I think it
is a great idea to teach one combination and then to build on it with more complex
variations. I do feel that the people that will get the most out of your videos will be
those who are already slightly proficient in dancing. By this I'm referring to things like
style and subtle techniques which I could only spot because I had done other forms of
Latin dancing. (I'm glad because your videos have many such gems within them!)
Sheffield, U.K. Friday Aug.15/97
Thank
you so much for sending your 3 vol. video. I thought they were all crystal clear and well
presented. It is easy to follow, and you explain very well. One of the great things about
the videos is that they help me remember the things that I had learned. They help to
trigger things that are somehow deep in my memory. And they also show me many, many things
that I had not learned, or moves that I might have seen at clubs, but wish I could see in
slow motion, or at least step-by-step.
